As we continue to expand our services and undertake government projects in the state of New York (NY), we are seeking a skilled Architect with expertise in securing government contracts to join our team.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Architectural Leadership**:Develop and communicate an architectural vision that integrates the specific needs of government contracts, aligning technology solutions with project goals and compliance requirements.
- **Research and Identify Opportunities**: Conduct in-depth research to identify potential government contract opportunities in the NY region. Stay updated on current and upcoming procurement initiatives from various government agencies.
- **Proposal Development**:Lead the development of well-crafted and competitive proposals for government projects. Collaborate with the design and management teams to ensure proposals align with client requirements and are compliant with governmental guidelines.
- **Contract Negotiation**:Negotiate contract terms, scope, and fees with government agencies, keeping the company's best interests in mind while adhering to legal and ethical standards.
- **Compliance and Regulations**:Maintain a thorough understanding of government contracting regulations, procurement laws, and compliance requirements specific to the state of NY.
- **Relationship Building**:Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, government officials, and agencies involved in the procurement process to enhance the firm's standing in the public sector.
- **Project Management**: Oversee the successful execution of government contracts, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality standards.
- **Reporting and Documentation**: Prepare regular reports on government contract pursuits, wins, and performance to present to senior management.
- Sign and seal documents as needed.

**Qualifications and Eligibility Criteria**:

- **Education**: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution. An additional degree or certification in Public Administration or Government Contracting will be advantageous.
- **Required Experience**:Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the design of large and varied types of buildings and the preparation of architectural plans and specifications. Two (2) of which shall have been in a supervisory capacity preferably within the state of NY.
- **Government Contracting Expertise**:Proven track record of successfully securing government contracts in the architectural industry, including experience with state and local agencies.
- **Licenses**:Appointees must possess a valid license as a Registered Architect issued by the New York Department of Education(NYSDOE)
- **Communication Skills**:Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with government officials, clients, and internal teams.

**Job Type**: Contract

Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
