Tucson, United States Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona Full time

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for managing all warehouse receiving, restocking, order picking, and shipping functions.
- Responsible for managing the maintenance and repair of all warehouse material handling equipment and ensuring that warehouse equipment is maintained by OSHA standards.
- Ensures proper product turns per FIFO or FEFO compliance with warehousing and food storage procedures.
- In partnership with the Inventory Control Team, manages the warehouse inventory to ensure accuracy and limit variances to an acceptable standard. Oversees cycle counts and regularly scheduled inventory of all items in the warehouse.
- Responsible for ensuring warehousing Ceres transactions are completed accurately and daily.
- Ensures that proper warehouse procedures and best practice standards for handling and storing all food products are followed per requirements of CFB and other regulatory entities.
- Ensures that warehouse equipment and work area cleanliness are maintained according to all health codes and standards applicable to food acquisition, storage, and distribution.
- Responsible for overseeing the completion of warehouse temperature logs (including those for all freezers and coolers) and maintaining the accuracy of thermometers in each unit.
- Responsible for following documented procedures for food safety compliance under the AIB compliance and certification program. Provides recertification and training after any equipment incident.
- Maintains sufficient quantities of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where necessary and ensures that volunteers and staff are wearing proper PPE to protect themselves and our clients.
- Participates in monthly Safety Committee meetings.
- Provides initial certification to all Operations Staff as part of their onboarding process.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Ability to plan, organize, and supervise the receiving, storage, and distribution of all items in the CFB Warehouse.
- Knowledge of proper product turns per FIFO or FEFO compliance with warehousing and food storage procedures.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safe work practices to include PPE.
- Knowledge of health codes and standards applicable to food acquisition, storage, and distribution.
- Strong team management and leadership skills.
- Analytical and able to set and measure goals and results.
- Ability to effectively communicate with employees, volunteers, donors, and businesses.
- Strong time and management skills, long range planning and ability to 'see' roadblocks in advance.
- Ability to work without a high-level of direction.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated interest in learning and professional growth and doing the same for others.
- Ability to learn other software platforms (Link2Feed, Ceres, etc.).
- Ability to become forklift and other warehouse power equipment certified within 60 days of employment.
- Ability to obtain “train the trainer” forklift certification within 90-days of hire.
- Ability to work with people from diverse economic, social, and political backgrounds.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Four (4) years of direct work experience in a warehouse or logistics-based setting.
- Two (2) years of staff management and supervisory experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain/Warehouse Management, Logistics, or related field or relevant experience.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
- For company insurance purposes, at least 21 years of age; possess a current Arizona Driver’s License with a safe driving record.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience working or volunteering at a nonprofit and/or food bank.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Medium Work - ability to exert 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
