Shipper/receiver

Menutech, a leading provider of innovative solutions in the food service industry, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipper/Receiver to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth flow of goods in and out of our facility, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting the efficient operation of our logistics department.

**Responsibilities**:
Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against packing slips or purchase orders, and inspect for damage or discrepancies.

Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling items according to shipping guidelines and customer requirements.

Coordinate with carriers for timely pickup and delivery of shipments, ensuring compliance with shipping schedules.

Maintain organized and clean warehouse space, including proper storage of goods and materials.

Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies, updating inventory records accordingly.

Collaborate with other departments to fulfill orders and address inventory-related issues.

Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.

Adhere to safety procedures and protocols at all times, promoting a culture of workplace safety.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or related field is a plus.

Proven experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations, preferably in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with shipping and receiving software/systems (e.g., UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager) is advantageous.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling shipments and maintaining inventory records.

Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, and operate material handling equipment safely.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends as needed, especially during peak seasons. Additional pay of $1.50 per hour for second shift assignments.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
