**Basic Qualifications**

**Education/Training**: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Quality Control and Curry certifications.

**Skill(s)**:Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; proficient mechanical skills, proficient PC skills, including Internet; demonstrated supervisory skills; visual and auditory skills; ability to stand, sit, bend, reach, climb, and lift items weighing 50 lbs. or less.

**Experience**:

- Possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in tank car repair or manufacturing with knowledge of AAR and FRA regulations.
- Knowledge of Non-destructive Testing (NDT) inspection processes, including VT and PT, as well as AWS-CWI certification.

**General Responsibilities**
- The primary responsibility of the position is to ensure a quality product.
- Conducts internal audits of the facility to ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements and serves as audit liaison and response coordinator for customers, AAR, and FRA audits.
- Develops and trains personnel on quality assurance, special processes, and work instruction procedures.
- Trains supervisors further in quality processes so they can continue to promote quality to improve plant operations.
- Ensures AAR M1003 quality assurance and AAR M1002 facility certification programs are current and meet customer and regulatory requirements.
- Ensures product quality at the assigned facility meets all customers, company, industry, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensures the repair facility’s quality assurance program and repair practices meet all regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with quality process improvement tools such as 5Y, Fishbone, and PDCA is essential for the performance of root cause analysis and development of corrective/preventive actions as well as investigation of customer complaints and audit findings.
- Implements and manages processes to measure quality and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement based on data provided, procedures, and policies.
- Participates in and actively supports quality projects, activities, and Responsible Care initiatives to ensure that the Company achieves its goals.
- Possess considerable stamina to perform the essential functions over a large geographical plant area.

**Essential Duties**

- Possess keen visual and audio acuity to recognize various shop danger warning signals to avoid injuries and promote a safe working environment.
- Strong knowledge of Curry procedures/standards, AAR/DOT regulations, customer procedures, and other technical areas such as tank car repair practices, NDT, inspection, welding, tank car parts/components, and coatings.

**Ancillary Duties**
- Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances.

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
