**Essential Responsibilities**:
- The School Aide position is a part-time position (20 hours/week).
- Actively monitor an efficient, safe and healthy environment for our students during the lunch and recess periods.
- Maintain student culture by observing and addressing student behavior during transitions in the hallway and around community spaces such as the cafeteria, schoolyard, bathroom and water fountains.
- Interact positively with students, staff, and families
- Report all medical and discipline situations following the proper protocols.
- Participate in school-wide meetings and professional development.
- Support the school community with other duties upon request.
**Qualifications**:
- Familiarity with the LION Community (parent/alumni/community member).
- Experience working with children.
- A strong sense of personal accountability for student success.
- Exceptional relationship-building and communication with students, colleagues, and families.
- Excellent behavior management skills, great attention to detail, and incredible flexibility to meet any. challenge with a positive, solutions-oriented outlook; willingness to go above and beyond to meet student needs.
- Preferably pursuing a degree or credential in education.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred but not required
Primary Location LION Elementary School Salary Range $20.00 - $20.00 / Per Hour Shift Type Part-Time
