**Park Place St. John Health and Wellness**, a Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living Living Community, located in St. John, IN is seeking a **Housekeeping Aide, Part Time**.** Park Place St. John Health and Wellness is a member of the **Providence Life Services** family where we are committed to enhancing the lives of those we serve

**Housekeeping Aide Hours**:7:00AM - 3:30PM, 3 days per week, including every other Saturday.**

The primary purpose of this position is to perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, Director of Housekeeping, and/or Supervisor to assure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.

**Summary of essential job functions**:

- Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments.
- Clean furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, etc., in resident rooms, recreational areas, etc., weekly as instructed.
- Clean, wash, sanitize, and/or polish bathroom fixtures. Ensure that watermarks are removed from fixtures.
- Clean windows/mirrors in resident rooms, recreational areas, bathrooms, and entrance/exit ways.
- Clean floors, to include sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, disinfecting, etc. (NOTE: Ensure that appropriate caution/safety signs are properly set up prior to performing such duties.
- Clean carpets, to include vacuuming.
- Clean walls and ceilings by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, deodorizing.
- Remove dirt, dust, grease, film, etc., from surfaces using proper cleaning/disinfecting solutions.
- Discard waste/trash into proper containers and reline trash receptacle with plastic liner.
- Ensure that work/assignment areas are clean and that equipment, tools, supplies, etc., are properly stored at all times, as well as before leaving such areas for breaks, meal times, and end of the work day.
- Perform isolation cleaning procedures in accordance with established infection control procedures.

**Requirements**:

- High School diploma required.
- Pass a physical, drug screen, 50-pound lift test, fingerprint for criminal background and complete the orientation program.
- Must have some experience in housekeeping from a hospital or healthcare facility.
