Medical Receptionist, Medical Appointment Scheduler

Experienced insurance specialist sought to handle patient scheduling and receptionist duties for a busy medical - surgical practice.

**Responsibilities**:

- Answering busy phone system
- Gathering patient demographic and insurance information and inputting data into the EMR system
- Scheduling appointments.
- Insurance verification for complicated benefits and various carriers using websites & telephone
- Check in and check out patients for office visits and services
- Referral and authorizations for in house appointments and services

**Requirements**:

- Knowledge of various insurance carriers and how to obtain in depth benefit information
- Knowledge of office equipment (computer, copy, fax, printer, scanner) and EMR software
- Loves patient interaction and believes in compassionate care
- Team player who communicates effectively with co-workers and providers
- Enjoys in-office and over-the-phone positive customer service
- Detail oriented and accuracy obsessed
- High School Diploma or GED
- Spanish speaking is REQUIRED

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
