**HOURS OF WORK**: 9:00 am - 5:30 pm (7 1/2 hours/day)

**SUMMARY**:
The Director of Position Control occupies a pivotal role within the organization, tasked with the comprehensive oversight of the organization's position management strategy. This encompasses a multifaceted set of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the alignment of all job positions with the overarching strategic objectives of the company, adhering to budgetary limitations, and meeting the operational demands of the organization. This role requires a deep integration of efforts across various domains, necessitating close collaboration with key stakeholders including Human Resources (HR), Finance, and leaders of different departments.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Strategic Position Management**:

- Develop and implement strategies for position control and headcount management to support organizational goals.
- Ensure alignment between workforce planning, budgeting processes, and strategic objectives.
- Analyze workforce data and trends to advise on position creation, modification, and elimination.

**Collaboration and Advisory**:

- Collaborate with department heads and HR partners to understand staffing needs and ensure positions are structured to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
- Provide expert advice on position management, including job design, classification, and leveling.

**Budget and Financial Oversight**:

- Partner with the finance department to ensure position control strategies are aligned with budgetary constraints and financial planning.
- Monitor and report on staffing budgets, variances, and forecast future staffing needs.

**Policy Development and Compliance**:

- Develop and maintain policies and procedures for position control and headcount management.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to employment and organizational structuring.

**Technology and Systems Management**:

- Oversee the management of Position Management Module and other systems related to position control, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Leverage technology to improve position management processes and data analytics capabilities.

**Leadership and Team Management**:

- Lead and develop the position control team, setting clear goals and expectations, and providing coaching and development opportunities.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the team.

**Data Analysis and Reporting**:

- Generate detailed reports and analyze data on staffing trends, vacancy rates, and other critical metrics to offer insights that guide decision-making in workforce management.

**Stakeholder Engagement**:

- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather insights and feedback on position management practices.
- Represent the organization in external forums related to workforce planning and position management.

**Championing Continuous Improvement**:

- Continually assess and enhance position control processes and systems to boost precision, efficiency, and adaptability to the organization's evolving needs.
