BPG-USA in Berryville is now seeking a Facilities Technician that maintains the facility structures and building services, including but not limited to: domestic water system, on-site wells, storm water run off, sanitary sewer, chilled water, heating, ventilation, air-conditioning/spot cooling, plumbing and drain systems, compressed air systems, fire detection and suppression systems, natural & propane gas systems, emergency power generator, and pollution abatement.

**Responsibilities**:

- Identifies requirements for monitoring, testing, and performance data records for all facility and building services structures, systems, and equipment. Documents these requirements in work instructions and provides training to Maintenance personnel as needed. Audits to ensure these requirements are being fulfilled.
- Identifies preventive maintenance requirements for all building services requirements. Schedule downtime for machine/operations to complete PM’s and schedule outside technicians to assist as needed.
- Maintains required records for compliance to permits (water, storm water, air, building construction, other) as directed by the Director of Engineering & Facilities. Plans and directs required repair work for the building structure. Write expenditure requests, including scope of work, schedule, and cost estimate.
- Contacts and schedules factory technicians and/or service providers for troubleshooting and repairs to facility structures and building systems.
- Obtains competitive bids for project work related to the facility.
- Identifies and completes any changes needed to the facility for equipment moves, decommissioning, and installations.
- Maintains files for project work and published regular updates to scope of work and schedule.
- Advises Maintenance Leaders of status of building services for plant shutdowns.
- Inspects areas housing building services for safety.
- Use of hand tools, power tools, torches and welders to maintain facility equipment. Use fork lifts and man lifts to get to equipment in ceiling of plant. Use of ladders to remote locations.
- Performs required mechanical, electrical and HVAC repairs on the building and related building utilities as needed.

**Job Qualifications**:

- Two year Vocational School training or equivalent on the job training required.
- Background, knowledge and skill level on electrical and mechanical repair work of facilities and associated utilities. Knowledge of electricity & electronics, plumbing, HVAC equipment, boilers, fire alarm systems and general construction work. Working knowledge and theory of steam & hot water boilers, associated pumps, piping and trapping.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

**Experience**:
