St. Peter School is looking for enthusiastic and organized aftercare teachers interested in joining a team of teaching professionals. Aftercare teachers work with students from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

daily, and 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. one Friday a month. Teachers supervise students as they complete homework, socialize and play.

Duties of Aftercare teachers include, but are not limited to, the following: RESPONSIBILITIES*Taking daily attendance*Planning and executing educational in-class and outdoor activities and events*Supervising students during reactional activities*Observing and understanding student behaviors*Monitoring students for allergic reactions*Reporting injuries or behavioral issues to director immediately*Ensuring constant communication with reception desk teacher so students can be dismissed promptly*Providing students with orderly and quiet environments to complete homework*Encouraging students to be respectful of the school and property by leaving classroom, hallways, and activity area neat and orderlySKILLS*Knowledge of teaching best practices partnered with a willingness to follow the schools policies and procedures*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills*Well-organized, creative, and energetic*Strong moral values and discipline*Knowledge of CPR, First Aid and use of the AED
