**Position: Logistician II**

**Nature of Role**:The Logistician II will support Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT), Code 15 Sensors and SONAR department, managing the procurement lifecycle for the Surface SONAR team by researching material requests, ordering, tracking, inspecting, and accepting all parts/materials. Position requires strong communication and documentation skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

**Responsibilities**:

- Purchase materials or goods as requested by the Code 15 customers.
- Track and maintain a running log capturing all data points during the procurement process. Update the customer on any status updates in real-time.
- Process all material transfer requests from the receiving department in a timely manner.
- Perform quality assurance checks on all received material to ensure correct quantity/quality matches requestion.
- Communicate with customer when materials are ready for pick-up.
- Work across the larger NUWC logistics infrastructure to store, locate, or transfer material.
- Produce monthly reports for customers.

**Skills & Experience**:

- Minimum of Five years of progressively responsible civilian or military professional experience and demonstrated experience in logistics.
- Strong verbal communications skills working across a multi-disciplined team of engineering professionals.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills
- SECRET clearance

**Work Location**:Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT), RI (mínimal telework available)
