**Job Description**:
WHAT YOU'LL DO

Determine through various inspection techniques acceptability of product as it pertains to ZYGO Drawings, Specifications etc. The inspector should be well versed in the use of standard inspection gaging (micrometers, Vernier calipers, shadowgraphs, pin and plug gages) as well as electronic inspection devices such as HYPOT, multimeters and voltmeters. In addition, this position should be able to perform in-process and final inspection within the facility and be able to understand the demands of the business and prioritize inspection requirements
- Ability to read and understand the following:

- Blue prints
- Zygo specifications
- GD&T
- Special process instructions
- Inspection check lists
- Sampling Plans
- MIL and ISO Standards
- Optics scratch/dig
- Ability to use basic gaging (Micrometers, Pin/Plug Gages, Vernier Calipers, Hypot, Multimeters, voltmeters)
- Computer literate:

- Ability to access documentation within the ZYGO Intranet:

- Drawings/Specifications
- FAST’s (Non-conformances)
- Waivers
- Effective communications both written and oral
- Work in a 6S environment
- Ability to prioritize inspection requirements as they relate to the business needs
- Ability to inspect using open set up techniques
- Ability to Interpret FAI documentation
- Ability to inspect optics for scratch/dig
- Ability to properly handle optical components

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Minimum of 3-5 year’s experience as an inspector
- High School /Trade School Diploma, Associates degree a plus
- Basic math skills
- Computer literate
- Knowledge of GD&T, basic inspection skills

**Compensation**:
