EJ Wade is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to join our team. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring the successful planning and execution of our clients' building projects.
As an Estimator, you will be responsible for analyzing project plans and specifications, conducting material takeoffs, and determining labor and equipment requirements. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and subcontractors, to gather the necessary information to create comprehensive cost estimates. Additionally, you will assess project risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential issues.
**Duties**:
- Analyze project plans and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Conduct material takeoffs to identify the quantity and cost of materials needed.
- Estimate labor and equipment requirements for construction projects.
- Analyze subcontractor quotes and negotiate pricing to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare cost estimates and proposals for clients, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.
- Identify and quantify project risks and develop contingency plans.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather project data.
**Skills**:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related major or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years construction experience, with at least one year construction supervisory experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
