We are seeking a seasoned Functional Manager to oversee and optimize our operational processes. As a Functional Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all tasks and projects within your domain are executed efficiently and effectively to meet organizational goals. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, streamline workflows, and implement best practices to drive continuous improvement. This role is in addition to the employee’s 100% direct charge work.

**Description**:

- Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies aligned with organizational objectives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of functional operations.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of professionals within the functional area, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure high performance and employee development.
- Process Optimization: Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement, streamlining workflows, reducing waste, and increasing productivity.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other managers and stakeholders to ensure alignment and synergy across the organization, fostering a culture of cooperation and teamwork.
- Performance Management: Establish performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the performance of the functional area, monitoring progress and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Resource Allocation: Allocate resources effectively to support project execution and operational activities, balancing workload and priorities to meet deadlines and deliverables.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues that may impact operations, developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure continuity of business operations.
- Communication: Communicate regularly with team members, stakeholders, and senior management to provide updates on project status, performance metrics, and any issues or concerns that may arise.
- Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the functional area, encouraging innovation, creativity, and the adoption of best practices to drive operational excellence.

Qualifications:
- TS/SCI Clearance
- Bachelor's degree preferred, Masters degree strongly desired
- 2+ years business financial manager experience
- 1+ year DARPA experience required.
- Willingness to engage and proactively interface in all aspects of management
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve their goals.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated experience in process optimization and performance management.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements within the industry.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
