The Payroll Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the accurate payment of wages to employees in accordance with wage
and hour laws, hospital policy, and with complete confidentiality of information. The Payroll Supervisor is also responsible
for the timely and accurate filing of quarterly and annual tax reports as mandated by federal and state agencies.

**Requirements**:

- 3 to 5 years Direct experience
- Associates Degree or equivalent
- MS Office
- Strong communication skills
- Payroll certification, knowledge of Infor/Lawson, Workday, Kronos, experience with inhouse payroll of 750+ employees

**Responsibilities**:
1. Supervises daily operations of payroll staff. Has the direct responsibility to undertake the following employment actions: hiring, termination, corrective action and performance reviews.
2. Trains payroll staff on all aspects of payroll processes and procedures.
3. Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of the biweekly payrolls; ensure timekeeping system interfaces to the human resources information system (HRIS) are complete and accurate; ensures HRIS accurately calculates wages, deductions, and taxes.
4. Review and audit time punches in timekeeping system and correct errors that would prevent correct payment to employees; retrain managers as needed.
5. Responsible for timely and accurate filing of tax reports in compliance with state and federal regulations, timely payment of tax liabilities, and research on laws and regulations regarding taxes and payroll withholding procedures and payments.
6. Ensure direct deposit and tax files are processed with the bank in a timely manner.
7. Ensures payment requests for deductions and garnishments are processed in a timely manner.
8. Prepare manual checks for terminations in accordance with regulatory requirements.
9. Respond to inquiries from employees and managers and resolve issues.
10. Prepares/maintains procedure manuals as documentation to the payroll process.
