In-home Special Needs Caregiver

We are looking for various caregivers to care for a young 22-year-old adult male with Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood (ahckids.org).

This position is in-home at residence.

**Qualification**:

- Compassionate, Engaging & Patient
- Provide direct support and care to individuals' needs.
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as:
Dressing

Meal preparation.

Cleaning, Cooking Laundry

Errands and day trips with this young adult.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require.

Assist with mobility and transfers.

Heavy lifting

Extended periods of walking.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Provide companionship and engage in social activities with clients.
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as assisted living or social work is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with son and family.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with mínimal supervision.

**Must have**:

- Valid driver’s license
- Transportation to and from work
- Strength is required.
- Experience is preferred but not needed.
- Training will be provided.
- Must be flexible.

**Schedule**:

- 4-to-8-hour shifts

**Monday - Friday**

Shifts Available: (8:00 am to 1:00 pm) (1:00 pm - 5:00 pm) (5:00 to 9:00 pm)

**Saturday & Sunday**

Shifts Available: (8:00 am to 12:00 pm) (12:00 pm to 4:00 pm) (4:00 pm to 8:00 pm)

**Friday and Saturday on call**: 8:00 pm to 2:00 am

**PAY**:

- $20.50 per hour will be increasing with the new state contract
- Expected hours: 4-8 per shift.
