Medical Receptionist

Duties:

- Greet and check-in patients as they arrive at the medical office
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using the phone system
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or payments
- Maintain patient records and update information in the electronic medical record system (Epic)
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and schedule follow-up appointments
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and confidentiality
- Collaborate with medical staff to provide excellent customer service to patients

**Skills**:

- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a front desk administrative role
- Familiarity with medical office procedures and terminology
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems, such as Epic or Dentrix
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality
