**SUMMARY**:
Supervises and coordinates activities of tellers and manages the paying and receiving function. Assigns duties and work schedules to tellers to ensure efficient functioning of the department. To direct and schedule daily activities of tellers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Leadership Duties
- Schedules and monitors daily activities of tellers.
- Manages time and attendance for assigned tellers.
- Trains and directs daily teller activities within the branch; identifies performance problems and assists manager with corrected action.
- Monitors branch activities for compliance with established policy and regulations.
- Takes action to resolve any out-of-compliance issues.
- Orders cash requirement for the bank. Manages vault rotation.
- Ensures nightly reporting is complete.
- Completes performance evaluations for all tellers and works with Retail Banking Officer in delivering the evaluations to the tellers.
- Ensures that the department is providing friendly, professional, personal service to all customers in accordance with the bank's mission and values.
- Ensure adherence to the bank's over and short policy.
- Keeps management informed on key operating issues affecting the frontline.
- Ensures compliance with all policies and regulations affecting the branch.
- Assists manager with reporting and audit requirement for the branch.
- Conducts interviews for prospective tellers.
- Assist with training all new hires on teller activities.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Teller Duties
- Provides courteous and professional customer service
- Accepts deposits and cashes checks to customer's accounts
- Cross-sells the Bank's services and products
- Accepts loan payments and safe deposit box rental payments
- Answer customers inquires and gives balances
- Balances transactions at end of day and verifies cash totals
- Cross trains in other areas of Banking Center to provide backup for continuous operations.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Perform duties as defined in the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Program

**REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS**
- High School Diploma or GED Required.
- Minimum of two years of teller experience required.
- Demonstrates some supervisory skill and the ability to manage others fairly.
- Possesses the ability to motivate other tellers when they are not meeting goals.
- Demonstrates the ability to remain professional at all times with customers and staff.
- Computer literacy required with proficiency in the use of financial software.
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills to represent the Bank in a positive way in dealing with customers and other employees required.
- Excellent Organizational and Time Management Skills.
- Attention to Detail.
- Team Player.
- General knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Program preferred.

**WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Requires extensive contact with the general public.
- May require travel to other offices to provide assistance or attend meetings. Also, travel for seminars and training is required.
- Requires lifting of heavy coins which involves short distance movement of coin bags, which may weigh as much as 50 lbs.
- Position requires standing, stooping, kneeling, squatting and sitting. Must have ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Receives currency from all sources causes environment to be slightly unclean.
- Must have the ability to handles stressful situations when dealing with upset customers.
- Must be capable of operating all types of office equipment including computer, copy machine, fax and telephone.
- Lobby environment requires professional demeanor and appearance. In the instance of a major or extensive natural disaster, epidemic or pandemic occurrence, or other disruption within our footprint, it may be necessary for associates to relocate before, during or after, to ensure business continuity.
