**Seasonal, Part-Time, Non-Exempt, Non-Union Position**

**$15.69 per hour, 27.5 hours per week**

**Monday-Friday, 8:00am-12:30pm OR 12:00pm-5:00pm**

**_ BASIC FUNCTION OF SEASONAL MAINTENANCE WORKER:_**

Provides building and grounds maintenance including, but not limited to cleaning, repairs, carpentry, plumbing, painting and landscaping.

**_ RESPONSIBILITIES OF SEASONAL MAINTENANCE WORKER:_**
- Assists in maintenance and repairs of buildings, i.e. carpentry and plumbing.
- Performs routine landscape work as needed, includes weeding, pruning and general clean up.
- Performs routine repairs of both internal and external facilities, walls, stairways, flooring.
- Perform routine cleaning services as assigned, includes dusting, cleaning windows, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal.
- Constructs, paints and reconfigures offices as needed.
- Set up meeting rooms as assigned.
- Set up for agency events as assigned.
- Notify supervisor and where appropriate address any unsafe conditions.
- Identify and change light bulbs that have burned out.
- May be required to work early mornings, nights and/or weekends, particularly in adverse weather conditions.
- Snow removal as assigned.
- Assist in training new hires as assigned.
- Opens/closes buildings as assigned, may include disarming and setting the alarm systems.
- Other related duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:
**_ REQUIREMENTS OF SEASONAL MAINTENANCE WORKER:_**

**Education**:
High School or G.E. D. desired

**Experience**:
3 years of carpentry/plumbing or general skilled work.

**Job Skills**:

- Must have Carpentry and Plumbing skills.
- Heating skills desirable.
- Basic math skills desired.
- Solid communication skills required.

**Licenses/certifications**:
Current Connecticut driver’s license, own transportation and current CT required insurance.
