Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Logistics Specialist to join our team. As a Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of logistics operations, including shipping, receiving, vendor management, transportation planning, and process improvement. Your expertise in category management and transportation management will be crucial in ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials throughout our organization. Duties: - Oversee the shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of goods - Manage vendor relationships, including negotiating contracts and resolving any issues that may arise - Develop and implement transportation plans to optimize efficiency and reduce costs - Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to track inventory levels and ensure adequate supply - Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities, including inventory levels, shipping documents, and vendor performance - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions - Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards - Provide guidance and support to warehouse personnel in the use of equipment such as forklifts Skills: - Strong knowledge of category management principles and practices - Proficiency in shipping and receiving processes - Experience in vendor management and contract negotiation - Knowledge of transportation management systems and best practices - Familiarity with MRP systems for inventory tracking - Mechanical knowledge for equipment operation and maintenance - Understanding of e-commerce logistics processes - Ability to analyze data and identify opportunities for process improvement - Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement If you are a highly organized individual with a passion for logistics and a drive for process improvement, we would love to hear from you.
