We are currently hiring teammates in our Production Department, located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin._

JOB SUMMARY
- The Press Operator will appropriately understand and follow the plant’s OHSE and Quality Systems to maintain a safe workplace and ensure quality product._

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- _Monitor quality of product during runs_
- _Monitor the use of raw materials to optimize waste reduction._
- _Set up machine and change inks, coatings, configurations, decks, paper and methods as required to complete projects based on the job_
- _Inspect job as it runs for quality of print, coating and laminating while making adjustments while the press is running_
- _Inspect quality of raw materials for proper coating weights, seal strengths and porosity_
- _Adjust and maintain machinery including clean plates, rollers, etc._
- _Change doctor blades (clean backups) and make necessary adjustments (lay downs, blade angles) to maintain the machine_
- _Perform daily maintenance including cleaning excess oil and grease, checking and adjusting mechanical parts including gears, backlash, brakes, etc._
- _Proficient at using a tape measure and/or ruler_
- _Direct the activities of the Press Assistant_
- _Assist the press assistant with clean ups when necessary_
- _Manage prepress activities_
- _Maintain paperwork such as production usage reports, forms, SPC charts, etc._
- _Troubleshoot and detect cause of problems_
- _Assist mounting department if needed_
- _Monitor and maintain raw material usage and inventory control_
- _Assist maintenance staff if needed_
- _Maintain a clean, organized work area_
- _Other duties as assigned_

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- _High School Diploma or GED_
- _Prior Flexographic Press experience_
- _Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals_
- _Demonstrate ability to work well under pressure_
- _Good oral and written communication skills_
- _Good math skills - able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure_
- _Demonstrate ability to maintain excellent quality products_
- _Able to pay attention to details_
- _Proficient navigating a computer_
- _Able to lift up to 50 pounds_

LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and legibly complete time cards and work orders. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and read blueprints and technical drawings, such as machine, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small groups situations to other employees of the organization. Ability to effective present information and respond to questions form groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public._

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variable in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form._
