**_Note:_** **_Employees in these positions will be scheduled for not more than twenty-four (24) hours per week_**_._

The Recorder Bailiff is responsible for maintaining security and providing an orderly, judicial atmosphere in the courtrooms, recording the court hearing, doing significant data entry, and completing court forms.

**Required Minimum Entrance Qualifications**:
Must possess an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university; **AND** must have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in law enforcement work such as a guard, police officer, or related position.

**Physical Conditions / Work Location**:
**PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES**

An employee in this class must be in good physical condition to permit the occasional lifting and carrying of objects or persons weighing in excess of one hundred (100) pounds, and have sufficient strength to restrain or subdue persons.

**ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS**

The Recorder Bailiff generally performs duties and responsibilities in the Muskegon County Circuit Courts and Court offices
