Job Summary:
A Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of a building and the surrounding grounds.

**Duties**:

- Keeps the building and property clean and orderly.
- Performs routine custodial activities.
- Performs heavy cleaning duties, including showers and fixtures.
- Sweeps, mops, scrubs, or vacuums floors.
- Gathers and empties trash.
- Scrubs, sanitizes, and supplies restroom facilities.
- Dusts furniture.
- Cleans windows, mirrors, and partitions with soap and other cleansers.
- Mix cleaning solutions and chemicals in containers in preparation for cleaning, according to instructions.
- Follows procedures for using chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
- Cleans and polishes fixtures and furniture.
- Cleans and polishes furniture and fixtures.
- Manages inventory and issues purchase requisitions for cleaning supplies.
- Notifies managers regarding the need for repairs or additions to building operating systems.
- Participates in continuous improvement activities as a contributor.
- Performs basic maintenance activities like changing filters, lubricating, mounting fixtures, assembly of office equipment, etc.

**Experience**:

- Prior experience in commercial cleaning, floor care, buffing, industrial cleaning, or custodial roles is advantageous.
- Familiarity with maintaining cleanliness in various settings.
- Ability to perform tasks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Knowledge of residential painting techniques is a plus.
- Experience in facilities maintenance is beneficial.
