Our pilot plant is a key and essential stage in testing and qualifying our equipment and processes to our customers. The Pilot Plant Technician will facilitate smooth, successful, and safe testing as well as be an ambassador for the company with the customer.

**Responsibilities**
- Install and ensure Pilot Plant equipment setups are assembled in a mechanically sound, safe, and timely manner under the direction of the Pilot Plant manager.
- Assemble and pre-test the equipment prior to the start of the trial.
- Conduct the operations required during Pilot Testing including:
▬ Chemical material handling

▬ Sample collection, labeling, and packaging

▬ Troubleshooting of chemical process equipment

▬ Equipment and utility system startups, shutdowns, and steady-state operations
- Adhere to the company’s Environmental Health & Safety guidelines at all times.
- Use proper personal protective equipment during pilot testing and equipment setup, including the use of a full-face respirator when needed.
- Clean and organize the test bay areas before and after each trial.
- Acquire and maintain a MA “Special License to Operate or Second Fireman’s License” to operate and maintain the Pilot Plant’s 175 psi steam boiler.
- Take instructions from supervisors and process engineers as needed.
- Able & willing to work overtime - may periodically have to work 50 to 60 hours per week for one or two weeks.

**Education/Experience**
- High School Diploma, two-year degree, or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a pilot plant, laboratory, and manufacturing environment.
- Computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with pumps, instrumentation and simple electronics is a plus

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
