**Position: Assistant Teacher**

**Location: All Day Learning Centers - Hillsborough, NJ Area**

Hours: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing daily programs and activities that promote the children's physical, emotional, intellectual, and
social development.
- Help create a nurturing, safe, and healthy environment for children to learn and grow.
- Engage with children in activities that encourage their curiosity and learning, including games, crafts, reading, and outdoor play.
- Monitor children to ensure their safety and well-being throughout the day.
- Assist children with daily routines, including eating, toilet training, and sleeping.
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child's day, development, and any concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the classroom and other used spaces.
- Prepare materials and equipment for activities, ensuring they are ready for use and safe.
- Assist in maintaining records of children’s progress, routines, and interests.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in early childhood education is preferred.
- Experience in child care or a related field.
- Patience, creativity, and a love for children.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions.
- First aid and CPR certification may be required.

**Skills**:

- Understanding of child development principles.
- Effective communication skills to interact with children, parents, and staff.
- Physical ability to handle the demands of working with young children, including lifting, bending, and kneeling.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain calm under pressure.This job involves a significant amount of interaction and engagement with young
children, aiming to support their early development in a structured yet nurturing
environment.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Expected hours: 24 per week
