**Maintenance Technician**

The British International School of Houston is seeking to hire a Maintenance Technician to assist our Facilities Department. The position ensures day-to-day upkeep, maintenance and smooth operation of the building and campus.

**About the role**

**Operational Expertise (Job Duties include but are not limited to the following)**
- Work safely and follow school’s safety protocol
- Provides quality service with attention to detail.
- Performs general repairs
- Moves heavy furniture, equipment and supplies.
- Ensure Campus is maintained to high standard at all times.
- Notifies managers about the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
- Sets up, arranges and removes decorations, tables, chairs, ladders and scaffolding to prepare facilities for special events.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Adapts working style and pace to changing conditions.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in commercial maintenance or proven experience in a hands on mechanical setting.
- HVAC Certification or equivalent job experience of commercial units
- Knowledge of OSAH regulations
- Solid understanding of technical aspects of mechanical, structural, plumbing and electrical systems with the ability to trouble shoot.
- Must be familiar with power tools and safety.
- Knowledge of paint and paint.
- Ability to kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, reach and lift/carry up to 40 lbs.

**Selection Process**

**Start Date: May 2024**

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
