**The Job at a Glance**

The Compliance Analyst role ensures and advocates for trade compliance. Role will work closely with logistics, purchasing, manufacturers, distribution, and shipping partners to ensure compliance with customs and other governmental agencies involved in the imports, exports and cross border Encompass transactions. A key activity is responding to broker’s requests by properly determining HTS and Schedule B (US and Canada) codes, country of origin and other import and export information required by applicable regulations in US and Canada. This is a role with high visibility.

**A Typical Day**
- You will manage the Import Compliance Inbox and exclusively respond to customs broker’s requests.
- Serve as global compliance liaison with appointed customs brokers and business for shipments that range from small package to ocean freight.
- Corresponds with purchasing and manufacturers to get documentation, determine HTS codes and work with a centralized compliance team to clear shipments from CBP, FDA, and other PGA holds.
- Collaborate in maintenance of product database (HTS, COO, make corrections), to provide visibility to the business and work very closely with purchasing to highlight clearance delays and planning projects.
- Produce statements (CPSIA) and certificates needed by customs and OGA’s for the purpose of clearance and the compliance function.
- Prepare and disseminate commercial invoices for intercompany transactions (Canada).
- Business Partner screening: perform ad-hoc and project based screening of business partners.

- You excel at organizing information electronically. You can use MS Excel with ease.
- You have working experience in trade compliance and can speak the language. Terms like forwarder, commercial invoice, and customs entry are familiar to you.
- You are a quick learner and can easily adapt to ever-changing needs and circumstances.
- You are a team player and feel comfortable finding the needs of others and jumping at the opportunity.
