**CHEF DE CUISINE**

The Dillon Beach Coastal Kitchen is looking for our next leader to oversee and manage all restaurnat operations. This is an opportunity to work in a fun and successfull coastal restaurant that is part of the Dillon Beach Resort. We have an amazing staff and are very team oriented. We feature a dynamic menu focusing on the coastal regions abundant supply of farms, ranches and wineries to hand select the best ingredients.

This position will have the full responsibility of all kitchen activities and needs to be proficient in all food preparations as well as operational management practices. There is also a prepared foods component to this position, so a background in prepared and packaged foods is a bonus.

**Responsibilities**
- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
- Modify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards
- Estimate food requirements and food/labor costs
- Supervise kitchen staff’s activities
- Manage proper execution of recipes
- Recruit and manage kitchen staff
- Rectify arising problems or complaints
- Give prepared plates the “final touch”
- Perform administrative duties
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Keep time and payroll records
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

**Skills**
- Proven working experience as a head chef
- Excellent record of kitchen management
- Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
- Capable of delegating multiple tasks
- Communication and leadership skills
- Keep up with cooking trends and best practices
- Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
- BS degree in Culinary science or related certificate

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
