Job Summary: Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of Counselors and ADTs. The Addiction Counselor Supervisor will assist the Program Director to ensure compliance in all matters pertaining to the client's charts and the training of newly hired counselors.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

- Contribute to a high-performing culture, focused on partnering with clients as we inspire and empower change

Manages the day-to-day clinical operations through consistent communication with staff that is supportive of staff roles and responsibilities

Provides individual supervision of clinical staff that includes individualized performance improvement goals based on counselor performance and needs, documenting supervision via case consultation when involving client care directly in the client’s electronic health/medical record, and in the employee’s supervision file when appropriate

Supports group case discussions with clinical staff to improve client outcomes

Provides required orientation and training, upon hire, for counselors, therapists, and support staff

Supervise and conduct client utilization reviews and medical necessity discussions with insurance payers

Work closely with all members of the team to assure positive working relationships

Responsible for supervising clients and counselors during clinic operating hours

Help foster/develop relationships with community stakeholders
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Program Director

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree preferred)
- Certified Supervised Counselor-Alcohol and Drug (CSC-AD)
- Must have current CAC-AD-S, LCPC, or LCADC as a Counselor at The Professional Board of Counselors & Therapist State of Maryland.
- Must have supervisory letter.
- Must be self-motivated and directed.
- Must have previous experience working with chemically dependent individual
- . Must demonstrate a position, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward our patient population.
- Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Excellent leadership skills

Position will start at Part-Time and will increase to full time based upon agency growth and need. It also provides flexibility.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $42.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
