**SUMMARY**:
To assist in maintaining the quality, consistency, guest service and sanitation of bar area.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Include the following; other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for carrying out all duties requested by the bartender, supervisor and manager. The objective of the position is to assist the bartender in creating an excellent guest experience.
- Adheres to all department and company standards.
- Responsible for bringing all food and condiments from the kitchen to the bar. In addition returning all dirty plates to the kitchen and separating and stacking them to standard at the dishwasher area.
- Responsible for assisting the bartender polishing glasses, cutting fruit, stocking condiments, filling of ice bin, polishing silverware, folding napkins and any other side work that needs to be completed to complete daily tasks.
- Responsible for assisting with serving and clearing food and drinks If bar
- back is under the age of 18, he/she is not allowed to serve or pour alcohol at any time
- Responsible for assisting with clearing and re-setting all tables and bar area.
- Responsible for assisting the bartender with pouring water for all guests.
- Responsible for assisting the bartender in maintaining cleanliness of all areas of lounge area including windows, fireplace, tables, chairs, bar, refrigerator and any other areas that may need cleaning.
- Complying with all hotel policies and procedures.
- Performing all other duties as requested by management.

**EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE**:
High School Diploma Equivalent.

**LANGUAGE SKILLS**:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine requests pertinent to the successful operation of the department.
