Job Summary

A little about Nidec Mobility.. We are the North America headquarters for Nidec Mobility America (locations in Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Canada, Mexico) and a leading Automotive Electronics Designer and manufacturer of sophisticated electronic sensing and control technology / components. We control the most discrete functions within an automobile, including: power system components, complex user interfaces, seat and power window switches, and instrument panel controls, electronic sensing/radar.

**Job Description**:
Objective

Reporting to the Business Planning Supervisor, the Pricing Specialist provides support with investigation and general administrative and coordination support for the Finance Department.

Essential Responsibilities
- Creates a Quote Check Sheet for new business opportunities.
- Audits Internal Quote Request (IQR) from Sales as well as the response package upon completion, checking for thoroughness and accuracy. Archives documentation as needed.
- Verifies that the Finance Department has the most recent documents (BOM’s, Exploded View Test Spec, IQR) and forwards to D&D, Purchasing, and Manufacturing Teamsas needed.
- Collects estimates from above-mentioned departments and creates a Product Quote Sheet and IQR Response. Forwards to the Finance Director Finance team member for review.
- Tracks Internal Quote Requests and related data by maintaining a spreadsheet. Generates periodic reports related to this data (including but not limited to timeliness).
- Maintains schedules and escalates concerns over ability to meet deadlines to Cost Analysts.
- Assists in the coordination of review meetings and assures that the required documents are available, in order to maximize meeting efficiency.
- Prepares drafts of customer required quotation documents.
- Updates cost calculation worksheet template as required, based on direction of the Business Planning Supervisor.
- Coordinates quotation activity between Finance and Account Managers.
- Updates Standard Operating Procedures and Work Guide Sheets as required.
- Obtains concurrence from cross-functional departments via “team feasibility commitment.”
- Receives, checks and processes new business awards (NBAs), contract change forms (CCFs), and service purchase orders and enters pricing into NMOA’s MRP (QAD) System on a daily basis. Tracks issues until resolved.
- Coordinates the investigation and resolution of all pricing discrepancies.

**Experience**:

- 4+ years’ business experience preferably in Accounting/Finance/Costing/Supply Chain Management

Education: Associates Degree preferred (or higher) _(Business, Accounting, Finance or equivalent combination of education and work experience preferred)_

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office) are required
- Strong attention to detail
- Time management and resource planning
- Efficiency and effectiveness in problem solving
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with various departments and individuals in order to maintain the accuracy and timeliness of the costing processes.
- Organized and able to work independently to accomplish goals
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Demand (Special Considerations): While performing the duties of this job, the employee consistently is required to use hands to handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds; team lift should be used whenever feasible.
