- Job Summary:
**Duties**:

- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational goals
- Create engaging and age-appropriate activities to stimulate the children's cognitive, social, and emotional development
- Provide a safe and supportive classroom environment for all students
- Monitor and assess student progress through observation, standardized testing, and other evaluation methods
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive educational experience for the children

Qualifications:

- Current DCDEE Criminal Clearance Letter to work with Children.
- Minimum 1-2 years of childcare experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field ( preferred)
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in a daycare or classroom setting
- Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Ability to create and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to different learning styles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and colleagues

**Skills**:

- Proven experience as an assistant/lead teacher for preschool age kids.
- Familiarity with safety & sanitation guidelines for classrooms.
- Excellent communication and instructional skills.
- Ability to facilitate play.
- Calm Demeanor, Child & Staff friendly, and very reliable.
- SIDS certification.
- Certification in child CPR & First Aid.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
