**Part-time Brain Injury Support Specialist Level I** will work with individuals in the home and their communities. This position provides minimum to moderate support and/or supervision to promote our clients’ success with daily living tasks and personal growth pursuits. Staff will work with 1 individual a week for 7 hours per visit, depending on the person's needs. All services are provided in the client's home or community. **No personal care.**

**Responsibilities**:
Socialization and genuine companionship with active listening and engagement are first and foremost. Offering accountability and motivation for daily chores and responsibilities, supervising and support clients with IADLs: local driving and accompanying clients to appointments, activities, and other outings.

**Minimum Requirements for Brain Injury Support Specialist I**:
**Education**: High School Diploma or GED or Certified Home Health Aide will be considered.

**Experience**: A minimum of 2 years experience working with people with disabilities, and/or brain injuries.

Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license, proof of NJ auto insurance and responsible driving behaviors must be maintained. Competence in writing, planning, organization, and documentation. Creativity, initiative, and flexibility, as well as time management and communication skills are required. The ability to communicate promptly with families, professionals, and co-workers is a must. The ability to demonstrate positive client interaction skills is essential.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 7 per week
