**Position Description**

**Construction Recordkeeper I**

**Construction Recordkeeper II**

Maintains construction project records and processes related paperwork; reviews and modifies contract documents to reflect changes to original agreement; monitors records to verify compliance with state and federal laws and determines payments due contractor for work completed. Work requires contact with contractors. Employees at this level perform work independently on assignments; however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisor.

**Construction Recordkeeper III**

Maintains construction project records and processes related paperwork; reviews and modifies contract documents to reflect changes to original agreement; monitors records to verify compliance with state and federal laws and determines payments due contractor for work completed. Work requires contact with the public. Employees at this level perform work independently on assignments; however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisor.

**Essential Duties**:
**Construction Recordkeeper I and II**
- May attend pre-construction meetings to instruct contractor's bookkeeper on record-keeping procedures.
- Prepares and types correspondence, reports and supporting documents; files, orders supplies and equipment.
- Processes change orders, supplemental agreements, and extra work orders.
- Sets up field record books for each construction project within assigned area
- Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.

**Construction Recordkeeper III**
- Includes all essential duties as Construction Recordkeeper I and II as well as:_
- May serve as a lead worker or project leader.
- Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.

**Minimum Qualifications**:
**Construction Recordkeeper I**

**Education**: High School Grad or Equivalent in general education.

**Experience**: None

**Licenses and Certifications**: Valid driver’s license. This position requires driving a state vehicle.

**Construction Recordkeeper II**

**Education**: High School Grad or Equivalent in general education.

**Experience**: 1 YEAR Record-keeping, bookkeeping, or other related experience. (Experience can be satisfied by fulltime or prorated parttime equivalent)

**Licenses and Certifications**: Valid driver’s license. This position requires driving a state vehicle.

**Construction Recordkeeper III**

**Education**: High School Grad or Equivalent in general education.

**Experience**: 2 YEARs Record-keeping, bookkeeping, or other related experience. (Experience can be satisfied by fulltime or prorated parttime equivalent)

**Licenses and Certifications**: Valid driver’s license. This position requires driving a state vehicle.

**Competencies**:
**Construction Recordkeeper I and II**
- Some knowledge of:

- Governmental policies and procedures
- Proficient skill in:

- Writing, reviewing and revising documents to include engineering notes, specifications, standards and procedures
- Performing calculations using algebra, trigonometry and geometry
- Preparing and maintaining confidential and sensitive records, files and reports
- Communicating technical information effectively
- Maintaining a safe and effective working relationship with others

**Construction Recordkeeper III**
- Includes all competencies for Construction Recordkeeper I and II as well as:_
- Expert skill in:

- Writing, reviewing and revising documents to include engineering notes, specifications, standards and procedures
- Proficient skill in:

- Leading, assigning, reviewing, and monitoring the work of others
