**Description**:
Responsible for the daily coordination, supervision, and operations of a fleet of vehicles
- including some DOT-governed vehicles, in accordance with Valcourt’s objectives. Work closely with regional and branch management to identify vehicle fleet and operations needs and develop programs, solutions, and training strategies to meet those needs. Develop and administer maintenance programs, ensure compliance with safety, registration and other Motor Vehicle requirements, and administer fleet monitoring tools. Evaluate the long-term outcomes of driving behaviors and fleet compliance with company standards and adjust future training if necessary. Provide coaching, recognition, and policy enforcement within an approved empowerment range.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- ** Managing, coordinating, and supervising the programs for assignment, safe utilization, maintenance, and repair of fleet vehicles.**:

- Serving as the primary contact for all items concerning the vehicle fleet and operations.
- Executing the ultimate decision whether a vehicle is safe to have on the road.
- Creating and establishing fleet policies and procedures, from vehicle assignment to replacement cycling, from personal use to accident reporting.
- Participating in the recruitment process of fleet drivers to ensure that they meet the requirements to operate a company vehicle.
- Assure that drivers receive appropriate training, developing them in both technical and professional skills; also includes assisting manager in performance management (coaching, counseling, disciplining, performance evaluations, recognition, etc.)
- Suggest process improvements to management where needed.

**Supervisory Responsibilities**:

- Assess current operational procedures and identify skills or knowledge gaps.
- Design and develop comprehensive programs for training, including training aids and materials.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training and adjust when necessary.
- Provide summary reports to management, outlining the impact of training on employee skills and corporate goals.
- Evaluate organizational performance to ensure that training meets business needs and improves performance.
- Keep abreast of training trends, developments, and best practices.

**Qualifications**:

- 2 years of relevant experience working with a fleet of vehicles
- Experience in creating and establishing fleet policies and procedures.

**Education Requirements**:

- High School Diploma

**Certification Requirements**:

- Driver’s License with a clean driving record (MVR)
