Position Summary:
FAU is a Carnegie doctorate-granting university (RU/high research activity) with over 30,000 students and is a designated Hispanic Serving Institution. FAU’s strategic plan focuses on healthy aging, neuroscience, environmental science, and sensing and smart systems and is supported by scholarly activities that address leadership, global perspectives and participation, community engagement, undergraduate research, big data analytics, healthy and sustainable campus environments, and peace, justice, and human rights.

The SCCJ has a rich educational environment and is the third largest undergraduate degree program by enrollment at FAU. We offer a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and a Master of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice. The SCCJ offers its courses through diverse delivery methods including face to face, online, and hybrid/blended formats. School initiatives include a decision-making simulation lab, forensics course offerings, community engaged research, study abroad, high school summer camps, a fully online undergraduate degree program, research colloquia, and research partnerships with the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors. This is a full-time, 12-month position that is non-renewable. Instructional load will consist of 4 courses in each of the fall and spring semesters and 2 courses in the summer (10 courses total). The position will require teaching a variety of undergraduate courses that meet the present needs of our School, which may include a mix of on campus and online course sections; teaching all courses fully online may be possible.
