Responsible for collaborating with teachers, curriculum leaders, and administrators to lead the effective implementation of state curriculum standards and alignment to the District and school vision, mission, and goals; implementing strategies to achieve those objectives; developing and conducting training classes on curriculum design and instructional strategies; maintaining curriculum training resource materials and equipment; providing input and recommendations regarding curriculum planning and professional development; facilitates the review and selection of textbook selection; and providing input/insight on ways to improve teachers’ instructional techniques.

**Major Responsibilities and Duties**:
**Instruction and Program Management**:

- Participate in the development, preparation, and administration of the budget for supplies, equipment, and facilities in the area of assignment.
- Work with staff to develop curriculum and instructional guides to ensure horizontal and vertical alignment.
- Utilize appropriate software to manipulate and disaggregate data and provide campus personnel with proper analysis.

**Staff Development**:

- Disseminate information regarding current research and significant developments on the state and national levels in the area assigned.
- Observe classroom instruction and provide feedback and assistance to classroom teachers to facilitate improvement and innovation. Demonstrate teaching strategies with students in the classroom.

**Assessment**:

- Develops and administers formative assessments that are aligned with the district curriculum and state
standards that provide data on the effectiveness of instructional programs.
- Provides district and campus timely formative assessment results.
- Collaborates with campus staff to use data results to plan future instruction.
- Uses student data results to determine PD needs for district, campus, and teachers.

**Other**:

- Convey information to parents and community members about school programs.
- Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required.
