**Job description: Curriculum Coordinator**

**Salary will commensurate based on experience in phonics curriculum implementation and early childcare education.**

**Education**:

- Minimum Qualification: High School Diploma/GED.
- Preferred Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field preferred.

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 2+ years of classroom experience at an early learning school
- Minimum 1 year of phonics curriculum implementation at an early learning school
- Leadership ability to communicate and motivate teachers
- Childcare operational practices experience a plus

**Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities**:
Monitors staff’s weekly lesson plans to ensure curriculum is being implemented daily, and to ensure the appropriateness of other planned activities
- Assists in coordination of school-wide special curriculum events
- Enrich classroom learning centers with teacher-made materials, real-world objects, and multicultural items
- Keep all the required bulletin boards up to date, following the established guidelines by franchise HQ
- Lead and work with teachers on maintaining quality classroom environments
- Collaborate with other schools to learn, embrace best practices to implement curriculum effectively & creatively
- Perform daily walkthroughs and offer coaching to classroom teachers around effective curriculum implementation techniques
- Coordinates sharing and use of supplies requested by teachers. (Takes requests of supplies from teachers, fills requests as much as possible in house and makes list of items that need to be purchased.)
- Keeps inventory of curriculum materials for school during the academic year and in the summer
- Assists in ordering education consumables annually
- Monitors and assists with New Hire Onboarding Training Plan
- Keeps track of training hours for all employees (enters staff training hours and files certificates in state staff files)
- Communicates company training to staff and organizes attendance
- Have knowledge of and research outside professional development and organizes staff to attend
- Staying abreast of developments in the field of Early Childhood Education
- Fulfill additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Maintain accurate records and timely reporting as required by franchise HQ and the school leadership
- Adhere to all Children's Lighthouse policies and procedures
- Attend staff meetings and demonstrate a commitment to self-development and professional growth
- Demonstrate leadership, high energy & professional standards to serve as a role model to the teachers
- Technology experience will be useful. Knowledge of educational and social media platforms (like tik-tok, Instagram, pinterest etc) to learn creative & effective educational techniques. Knowledge of Office (word, ppt, excel) and other educational apps will be useful.

Job Type**:Full-time**
**Salary: $16 to $18**
Expected hours**:40 per week**

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
