**SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION**:

- On-site position, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.
- Salary range $22.80 - $24.50/hour (non-exempt). Salary based on skills and experience.
- Up to 6% annual bonus potential.

**A TYPICAL DAY FOR YOU AT HH**:

- Direct day-to-day Residential operations.
- Follow Helping Hand’s procedures when dealing with an emergency including, but not limited to, calling 911, ensuring the safety of the individuals, and notifying the Associate Director.
- Provide for the safety and security of individuals and Helping Hand property.
- Ensure the rights of residents are protected and services are provided to the highest level of quality.
- Meet quality and compliance requirements as set forth by Helping Hand, DHS, IDPH, and other pertinent regulations including the fulfillment of all necessary training requirements.
- Provide direct supervision to a team of DSPs to ensure the mission and values of Helping Hand are at the forefront of all activities and interactions.
- Participate in interviews and onboarding of new team members to foster positive and meaningful working partnerships.
- Coach, mentor, and train new team members on CILA guidelines and clients. Offer ideas and suggestions so that DSPs are trained and have adequate resources with which to perform their job responsibilities.
- Provide direct shift coverage and flex schedules to meet the needs of the program which includes managing the daily/weekly scheduling needs for assigned CILA(s), monitoring and flexing staffing patterns to minimize overtime costs to the agency.
- Provide DSPs frequent and constructive on the job feedback through monthly supervision meetings, and complete annual evaluations for DSPs to assure strengths and challenges are discussed for the success of the program.
- Communicate regularly with Residential Associate Director on strengths and challenges of the assigned CILA(s) and team members including input toward disciplinary actions.
- Flexibility while supporting community events that may occur outside of regular work hours including safely driving individuals for various programming purposes.
- Participate as a member of the individual’s interdisciplinary team as assigned, provide training and support through individualized plans, communicate client individual needs in a timely and effective manner, and attend team meetings as required.
- Monitor and follow up regarding daily documentation, agency communication, medication and program budgets for CILA.
- Professionally interact with families/team members, respond to questions, and bring family/team member concerns to ADs with solutions/resolutions provided.
- Complete, monitor, and report out tasks and documentation as assigned by the supervisor such as but not limited to: team meetings, goal and behavior tracking, staff schedule, daily shift reports, house schedules for activities, client personal shopping, menu planning, grocery shopping, client link documentation/logs, budgeting/finances, safety drills, maintenance and cleanliness checks, activity calendar, and client monthly meetings. All documentation must be submitted as required.
- Must be able to work at any of Helping Hand's facilities as assigned.
- Always maintain client confidentiality.
- Other duties as assigned.

**LAND THIS OPPORTUNITY BY HAVING**:

- 2 years experience working with adults with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required (Associate degree preferred)
- Current valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and proof of personal vehicle insurance required.
- Previous supervisor experience preferred.
- This position requires employees to work with people who may become physically aggressive.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong initiative and willingness to pitch in.
- Strong problem-solving, conflict management, and team-building skills.
