**SUMMARY**: The Hotel Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the hotel's kitchen, banquet/events, and all dining areas. They are responsible for ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized to support efficient food service operations and uphold guest satisfaction.

**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**:
**1. Dishwashing and Sanitation**:

- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans used in the kitchen, banquet/events, and all dining areas.
- Hand wash items that cannot be cleaned in the dishwasher, ensuring thorough sanitation and adherence to health and safety standards.
- Regularly empty trash bins, clean garbage disposals, and dispose of waste in accordance with hotel procedures and sanitation regulations.

**2. Equipment Maintenance**:

- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of dishwashing equipment, including routine cleaning, maintenance, and reporting of any issues that arise.
- Report any malfunctioning equipment or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel for prompt resolution to minimize disruptions to kitchen operations.

**3. Kitchen Support**:

- Assist kitchen staff with food preparation tasks as needed, such as peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients, to support efficient workflow during peak times.
- Ensure that all kitchen surfaces, countertops, and equipment are kept clean and sanitized to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food safety.

**4. Organization and Inventory**:

- Organize clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment in designated storage areas, maintaining an orderly and efficient workspace.
- Monitor and help with inventory levels of cleaning supplies, detergents, and other related materials, notifying management when supplies need to be replenished.

**5. Safety and Compliance**:

- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Participate in training sessions and meetings on safety protocols, sanitation practices, and emergency procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
- Handle and use of cleaning supplies and chemicals in accordance to safety procedures and policies.

Perform other related services and duties as assigned by supervisor and management.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- High school diploma or equivalent a plus.
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or kitchen setting.
- Ability to operate commercial dishwashing equipment and follow sanitation protocols.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety practices.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility in scheduling, including availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and alternate shifts as required by hotel operations.

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**:

- Exposure to varying kitchen conditions and temperatures is inherent in the role.
