Thrift Store Manager

Palestine, United States Crisis Center of Anderson and Cherokee Counties Full time

**Responsibilities**
- Responsible for maintaining the safety of staff and patrons
- Welcomes and assists customers with shopping
- Trains all thrift shop volunteers and keeps up with their time
- Keeps inventory and provides general upkeep with equipment and supplies
- Rings up purchases
- Marks down merchandise for sale
- Meets with Director to report on sales and promotions
- Oversees all store workers
- Sets prices for merchandise
- Ensures cleanliness of store
- Sees that goods are sorted, displayed and sold in an appropriate manner
- Participates in all meetings required for staff members to attend
- Keeps up with employee hours
- Creates monthly employee schedule
- Makes bank deposits accordingly
- Completes other duties as assigned

**Skills**
- Proven work experience as a Retail Sales Manager, Sales Associate or similar role
- Understanding of the retail sales process
- Familiarity with consumer behavior principles
- Knowledge of inventory stocking procedures
- Basic math skills
- Computer skills
- Cash handling experience
- Track record of achieving sales quotas
- Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships
- Ability to perform in fast-paced environments
- Must be a leader

Pay: $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
