Machine Operator

**$ 2000.00 SIGN ON BONUS**

Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Utility Machine Operator to join our Ashland Specialty Ingredients G.P. business at our Fiskeville, RI location. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Manufacturing function. This position will report to the Production Supervisor.

**The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following**:

- Perform a wide variety of duties within the Converting / Inspection Department to include the operation of the Laser cutter, product inspection, powered industrial and manual material movement equipment and cross training within the facility.
- Perform production duties such as operating Laser cutter, Inspecting, lifting, packaging, warehousing
- Provide support to coating / lamination operation as needed
- Maintain the work environment and equipment in a clean and safe manner, follow prescribed safety regulations
- Perform related duties as required by Manager
- Actively contribute to the organizational goals by taking initiative, executing on goals and focusing on performance and safety
- Improve the organization capacity and capabilities through building collaborative relationships, optimizing diverse talent and utilizing positive communications and influence with others

**n order to be qualified for this role, you **_**must possess**_ **the following**:

- Able to collect, organize and/or process information according to standard operating procedures
- Excellent communications skills
- Problem Solving Skills - adapting, utilizing existing methods, identifying and implementing improved methods and procedures
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Ability to multitask
- Required to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of rolls and cartons
- Demonstrated responsible and ethical behavior at all times
- The ability to help the company drive greater value through understanding the business, making complex decisions and creating the new and different
- Prior Manufacturing experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
