Job Summary:
A Respiratory Therapist is responsible for assessing, treating, and caring for patients with respiratory disorders. They work alongside medical teams to develop treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and educate patients on proper breathing techniques.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Conducting assessments and diagnostics to determine the extent of respiratory disorders
- Developing and implementing treatment plans for patients with conditions such as asthma, COPD, and pneumonia
- Administering medication and therapeutic treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitoring and evaluating patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Educating patients on proper breathing techniques and respiratory health
- Collaborating with medical teams to provide comprehensive care for patients
- Maintaining accurate patient records and communication with healthcare providers

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
- Certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the National Board for Respiratory Care
- State licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
- Strong knowledge of respiratory anatomy and physiology
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
