Job Description: On-Call Infant/Toddler Teacher

A Step Ahead Child Care, LLC is seeking a dedicated and flexible on-call teacher to join our team, supporting both the infant and toddler rooms. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing exceptional care and education, fostering growth and development in a nurturing environment when a permanent staff member is absent. The Director or Assistant Director will contact you as soon as possible to cover shifts as needed.

**Responsibilities**:

- Cover lunch breaks
- Cover teachers when they need to be out of work for any amount of time
- Implement age-appropriate activities for both infants and toddlers
- Provide attentive care to basic needs and adhering to individual routines
- Foster warm and supportive atmospheres in both rooms
- Collaborate with co-teachers to ensure cohesive educational programs
- Maintain clean, organized, and child-friendly classrooms

Qualifications:

- At least 18 years old
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- An Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is preferred
- Proven experience working with both infants and toddlers
- Understanding of child development principles and age-appropriate learning strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 15 per week
