Freetown-Lakeville Regional School District is an engaged and collaborative community where students are met with joy and kindness, by faculty and staff who are empowering and inspiring and where EVERY voice mattersPosition Objective: This position is accountable for assuming the responsibility for delivering high quality instructional experience through creativity, resourcefulness and sound judgment consistent with the curriculum frameworks, standards and the rules and regulations of the Freetown-Lakeville Regional School District.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary LOVE of teaching and learning, believing every child can learn, be collaborative, bring joy and kindness to school each day.1. Adapts classroom activities, assignments and/or materials under the direction of the supervising teacher for the purpose of supporting and reinforcing classroom objectives and meeting IEP Goals. 2. Assists and escorts students when necessary for the purpose of attending to the student's personal hygiene and care needs and arrival to/from destinations.3.

Implements under the supervision of assigned teacher, research based interventions for the purpose of presenting and/or reinforcing learning concepts. 4. Intervenes in potential conflicts utilizing appropriate physical and/or therapeutic approaches for the purpose of diffusing confrontations and minimizing disruptions. 5.

Monitors student's daily schedule and behavior plan (e.g. class schedule, toileting, medication, appetite, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.6. Assume other duties assigned by the classroom teacher7. This program runs from July 8, 2024 to August 8, 2024.
