Rockford’s Trusted Hometown Furniture Merchant for over 90 years is looking for hardworking Delivery Drivers who will be responsible for loading, transporting, and unloading furniture. In our company, delivery drivers are responsible for checking client orders and ensuring that the warehouse staff loads the correct items into the truck before departure, carries furniture into the client’s home or office, and then remove and transport old furniture away.

**Delivery Driver Responsibilities**:

- Meet delivery deadlines.
- Track shipments and deliveries.
- Load and unload cargo.
- Obtain client or customer signatures when needed.
- Secure cargo and properly arrange and balance it within the vehicle.
- Follow the best practices for safety, both on the road and while loading or unloading a truck.
- Ensure any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving.
- Obey and follow applicable traffic laws.
- Communicate with dispatchers, drivers, and other team members to make deliveries.

**Delivery Driver Requirements**:

- Must have a valid Driver’s License & acceptable driving history record. A valid commercial driver’s license (preferred)
- Previous experience working in a warehouse/delivery driver position preferred
- Must be prepared to work in any traffic, weather, & timing according to business needs
- Knowledge of how to handle materials safely.
- Familiar with using navigation systems.
- Ability to read, understand & follow oral and written instructions
- Physical ability to load and unload heavy cargo up to 50lbs and over 100lbs (with assistance if needed)
- Must be able to reach, bend, lift, stretch, twist, climb, balance, stoop and crouch as needed
- Excellent time management to complete deliveries on schedule.
- Excellent vision and hand-eye coordination to stay safe while driving.
- Friendly customer service skills and good team player

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
