Part-time School Food Service Coordinator

Trinity Christian academy is seeking a part-time, enthusiastic School Food Service Coordinator to join our dedicated team In this role, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our students receive nutritious and delicious meals throughout the school day.

**JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Plan, coordinate and monitor various food services programs including, but not limited to, food and equipment procurement, nutritional and safety requirements, directing personnel, and operational efficiency.
- Oversees all food programs for TCA, including lunch, concessions, and vending.
- Controls the food services budget; monitors expenditures; and approves financial transactions.
- Orders food supplies and equipment; when required, initiates bids for quotes and comparison.
- Arranges for proper storage and delivery of food and supplies.
- Plans and prepares menus for various food service operations and recommends appropriate food prices.
- Coordinates communication for the lunch program to TCA administration, faculty, staff, students and families.
- Maintains all necessary food certifications, licenses, permits, etc. for both the individual and the school.
- Supervises assigned employees and/or volunteers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES**:

- Knowledge of nutrition and adequate inventories for food preparation and service.
- Knowledge of food handling, safety and sanitation standards and techniques.
- Knowledge of Federal and State laws and regulations governing child nutrition programs.
- Ability to quickly shift priorities due to emergencies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrate a cooperative team spirit and genuine concern for others.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain inventory and record-keeping procedures.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Willingness to learn and serve.

**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**:

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- At least three years of related experience required.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
