**Duties**:

Incumbents typical work assignments may include the following:

- Serves as a trusted advisor on assigned DoD programs to obtain efficiencies, fosters an environment of partnership and collaboration, embraces increased program performance and effectiveness, and partners with government and industry stakeholders to define and achieve the program goals.
- Work with University Affiliated Research Centers (UARCs) and Federally Funded Research Centers to address Government research priorities.
- Advises the OUSD(I&S) Executive Director and other senior DoD leadership on potential issues or roadblocks affecting assigned DoD programs, policy, and oversight. Develops a recommended position ensuring technology and policy solutions are consistent with applicable laws, regulations, principals and standards.
- Represents OUSD(I&S) on DoD and interagency committees, working groups, and task forces established to formulate, coordinate, to ensure alignment and advancement of assigned program.
- Coordinates with DoD components, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, Intelligence Community organizations, and other Executive Branch agencies on matters pertaining to, or affecting assigned DoD programs.

- This position requires you to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). A Special Background Investigation (SBI) is required with favorable adjudication by a determining authority.
- This position may require occasional travel (TDY) both CONUS and OCONUS away from your normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
- The work is not normally physically demanding; however, oversight visits and coordination responsibilities may require extensive walking on varied terrain and within facilities

**Qualifications**:
**The DCIPS occupational structure provides the foundation for managing the DCIPS pay structure. It consists of the following elements: mission categories, occupational groups, and work categories, work levels, pay band (for those DCIPS Components operating under the DCIPS pay banded structure using pay plan IA) and grades (for those DCIPS Components operating under the GG graded structure using pay plan GG), job titles, and competencies.**

If a determination is not able to be made about the length of your creditable experience for qualification requirements, you will be removed from consideration.**You may qualify at the GG-15 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement**:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GG-14 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrates your ability to: 1) Overseeing and leading special projects and initiatives; 2) advising leadership on all issues related to strategies, and foreign partner bilateral and multilateral defense Intelligence relationships; 3) identifying complex issues, implementing changes, interpreting and developing policies for assigned program areas; 4) collaborating to develop and prepare written products for reporting and talking points for Intelligence Engagements or events related to achieving program objectives and initiatives; and 5) preparing written and oral products to support senior-level decision making.
- Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
