**Job Title**: RN Medical / Surgical

**Location**:Stafford Springs, CT 06076

**Shift Details**:

- **
Hours**: 12-hour shifts, three days per week
- ** Schedule**: 19:00 to 07:30
- ** Total Weekly Hours**: 36 hours

**Salary**:

- ** Non-Local Pay Rate**: $56.34/hr.
- ** Taxable Wage**: $47.51/hr.
- ** Per Diem**: $8.83/hr.
- ** Reward**: $7.04/hr.
- ** Local Pay Rate (within 60 miles)**: $49.14/hr.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients in the medical/surgical unit.
- Perform patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and monitor patient progress.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on medical conditions, treatments, and care plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control standards.
- Participate in continuous education and professional development to stay current with medical/surgical nursing best practices.

**Requirements**:

- ** Education**: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- ** Licensure**: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Connecticut.
- ** Certification**: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- ** References**: Two professional references required.
- ** Experience**: Prior experience in medical/surgical nursing preferred.
- ** Skills**:

- Strong clinical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- ** Physical Requirements**: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift and move patients and equipment, and perform physical tasks related to patient care.
