Pattern Maker Assistant

Well established têxtile company located in South Bay area, has an immediate opening for Pattern Maker Assistant position.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work with design/pre-production team on fit specifics
- Translate the design sketch and or sample into a first pattern and/or pre-production pattern using Gerber software on PC.
- Create development and production patterns and make changes and edits on the Gerber system
- Create pattern card with all necessary information including final spec measurements and hand off to sample making team.
- Along with delivering pattern card to sample making team, provide advice and or input on the right techniques to construct the garment.
- Receive completed sample from sample making team and measure garment fit specs for accuracy.
- Attend development/production fittings of samples with design and pre-production team.
- Assist in creating tech pack.
- Review with team fit technician notes for any pattern adjustments needed to produce final spec measurements and development/production pattern to be handed off.
- Work with sample room on sewing construction based off patterns.
- Maintain a library of good basic patterns as a reference
- Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships and demeanor at all times. Treat coworkers and members of management with courtesy and respect at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.

Other

**Required Skills**:

- 2 years’ experience with denim.
- Technical/Associates Degree from college or university in the field of study.
- Experience in grading and ability to understand grade rules.
- Proficiency using Gerber required.
- Timely follow through for execution of design and production schedule.
- Experience attending fittings and performing pattern corrections.

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
